As Creative Director at Esselte Corporation, the world’s leading global office supplies manufacturer, I wore the chief creative cap for the company’s brands including: Pendaflex®, Ampad®, Oxford®, Rapid® and Boruum & Pease®. In this role, I oversaw branding, brand integrity, packaging, and all marketing and sales collateral material for 3,000 product SKUs with revenue of a billion dollars.
As Creative Director, I led and managed the company’s team of creative resources including: designers, marketers, photographers, digital re-touchers, printers, writers and trade show vendors. I also oversaw relationships with outside graphic design and production agencies.
Under my guidance, the creative team produced catalogs; print ads; web ads and banners; videos; merchandising and sales collateral materials, as well as trade show assets. I was also responsible for designing and managing all packaging for the company’s branded SKUs as well as for private branding customers including big-box retailers .
During my tenure at Esselte, I managed more than 25 new product launches and drove integration of the Ampad® and Rapid® brands after their acquisition.
Additionally, I also created Esselte’s global brand library of digital images, project data and product specifications that facilitated a collaborative work process globally. Esselte used Kaizen and LEAN production methodology; I helped lead multiple Kaizen events for the company’s U.S. headquarters.
My personal hobbies also marry creativity and management. Whether its baking, photography, gardening or running the Girl Scout Troop, I try to imbue everything I do with creativity and beauty. I believe that having a life outside the office that is infused with creativity helps fuel innovation at work.
Life is about enjoying the small moments; at work, school & home.
